Can I add data tables to the Proposal Template?

On top of adding metrics and charts, it's now possible to add data tables to proposal templates! Easily present Adders, Incentives, Batteries, and Energy Efficiency items in tables on proposals - showing full details with only a couple of clicks!

How do I add a data table?

To add a data table to a proposal, you may follow these steps:

  1. Go to a proposal template that you wish to edit

  2. Select the page where you'd like to add a data table (you can totally add a new page as well)

  3. Click Edit on the upper right side of the screen

  4. Once the menu loads, click Insert > chose Data Tables > and then select the data table that you'd like to have on your proposal (options are: adders, incentives, batteries, EE items).

  5. This will insert a dynamic table, on the template.

Can I delete columns and further customize the table?

Yes! You can delete columns and customize the table further by using the native table controls. However, to add back deleted columns, you'll need to delete the table and recreate a new one by following the steps above.

What does each of the data tables contain?

The data tables show all significant details for all adders, battery, energy efficiency, and homeowner incentives that are included in a project. These details include:

Adder Data Table

  • Adder Project Type

  • Adder Cost Category

  • Adder Name

  • Adder Quantity

  • Adder Price

Battery Data Table

  • Battery Manufacturer

  • Battery Model

  • Battery Count

  • Battery Capacity

  • Battery Power Rating

  • Battery Warranty

Energy Efficiency Data Table

  • EE Equipment Type

  • EE Manufacturer

  • EE Model

  • EE Count

  • EE Capacity

Homeowner Incentives Data Table

  • Incentive Type

  • Incentive Name

  • Incentive Value

How will the data tables be presented for more than one quote?

The Homeowner Incentives Data table and Adders table could vary depending on the financing product used to quote. Since we have options to present more than one financing product in a proposal, these tables would be presented in two different ways:

  • When the table is inserted on a page that repeats per quote, then the table is specific to the quote.

  • When the table is inserted on a page that does not repeat per quote, then the table repeats for every quote, by repeating vertically

What if a data table is included on the Proposal template, but there are no values to show for the Project?

Not all projects would have energy efficiency equipment or batteries. In these cases, this message will be displayed on the proposal: "There are no batteries/energy efficiency equipment on this project".
