Can I use EverBright if the homeowner does not have an email?

Emails are part of the verification process for customers and are required for EverBright financing jobs. While some processes can be conducted without an email address, a job cannot be completed without one.

Processes not requiring an email address

If a customer's email address is not available during the initial proposal generation stage, then you may leave it blank for a while, but please note that there will be phases where you won't be able to proceed without filling it out.

You will be able to do the following without the customer's email address:

  • Create and save a site and system

  • Generate a quote, proposal, and contract documents for viewing purposes only

  • Preview or Download the proposal to PDF and present it to the customer from your screen or manually send a proposal to the customer. Note that you will not be able to send it to them using the Email function until their valid email address is entered into the Contact page.

  • Download agreement/contract documents to PDF and present to a customer from your screen or manually send a proposal to the customer. Note though that it is only possible to download or generate a contract on the platform without an email address if the contract template does not require an email address metric. If it does, the contract will be blocked and the user won't be able to download it. Also, you will not be able to send it to them using the Send E-Sign function until their valid email address is entered into the Site page.

  • Upload wet-signed agreement/contract documents to the platform to complete a non-EverBright financing job. There will not be a way to track or verify an electronically signed document using this method. That is only possible once the customer's correct email address is entered into the Site page and the documents are sent to them using the Send E-Sign function. Note: wet-signed documents are not allowed for EverBright financing jobs.

Email requirement

A customer email address is currently required for all EverBright financing products as part of the verification process for documents, such as agreement or contract signing, and credit application communications. Note: The email address must be valid and not assigned to an existing EverBright user. However, a job can still be completed for some financial products (e.g., cash purchase) without the use of the customer's actual email address.

Use of non-personal email address

An email address is required for all EverBright financing contracts. If a homeowner does not want to use their personal email, then they may use another email they have access to or create a new email account that they can access on an as-needed basis.

What if a non-EverBright-financing contract requires an email address?

To generate a non-EverBright financing contract, you can use a non-personal email address as mentioned above. And then instead of signing through Docusign, you may opt to upload a wet-signed copy of the contract instead. Note: wet-signed documents are not allowed for EverBright financing jobs.
