How do I copy metrics between proposals?

Dynamically populated fields in your proposal templates are controlled by what we refer to as metrics, which pull data from the EverBright platform. These metrics can be added and removed in order to customize proposal templates.

Metrics can be added to templates using the Insert > Metric menu. However, a helpful trick for adding a metric from one proposal (Source Proposal) to another (Target Proposal) is to use Copy + Paste. See detailed instructions below:

Note: this is only available to Organization Admin users with edit access to Settings.

  1. Open EverBright

  2. Click on Settings (gear icon)

  3. Click on Proposal Phase

  4. Click on the 3 dots menu on the right of Source Proposal

    1. then right-click Open Template

    2. Click on Open link in new tab

  5. Click on the 3 dots menu on the right side of Target Proposal

    1. then right-click Open Template

    2. Click on Open link in new tab

  6. On the left-side panel of both proposals, click on the page you want to edit

  7. On both proposals, click the Edit button in the upper right-hand corner

  8. In the Source Proposal, click the metric in the purple box associated with the text label, then CTRL+C (Copy)

  9. In the Target Proposal, click the metric in the purple box associated with the text label, then CTRL+V (Paste)

  10. In the Source Proposal, click the Cancel button to exit edit mode without making any changes to the proposal template

  11. In the Target Proposal, click the Save button to save the template with the new metric inserted

  12. Run your proposal again to confirm it pulls the correct value.
