How do I duplicate or copy a MyProposal template?

MyProposal

All accounts have the EverBright MyProposal template available to use by default. To start using MyProposal, a user with Organization Administrator permissions can create at least one copy of the EverBright Proposal template to use and/or customize.

There are two easy ways to copy or duplicate a proposal template. To start, head over to Settings and choose Proposal Phase from the left panel.

Once on Settings: Proposal Phase, you can either the Duplicate or create a New Template.

Duplicate a proposal template

To duplicate a template, click on the option toolbar on the proposal template you want to copy, then select Duplicate.

Create a new proposal template

To create a new template, select + New Template

This opens an option to choose which template you would like to copy. Select a proposal then click Copy.

What are good rules of thumb for when to duplicate a proposal template?

Duplicate proposal templates to protect live versions and archive proposals to keep the proposal list clean of old versions.

Any changes made to existing templates are live and will also impact proposals already sent out. This means you should always duplicate any template you want to modify as a starting point rather than editing it directly, unless the change is to fix a typo. Once desired changes have been made, you can archive the old template.
