When the utility rate escalator is updated, what escalator is applied to my site?

If your organization updates a utility rate escalator, it is important to know what sites that change applies to.  To ensure that homeowners have a consistent savings estimate throughout their sales process, the utility escalator in effect when a site is created remains in effect even if the utility rate escalator is later updated.  You don't need to worry that the utility escalator will change in the middle of your sales process with a customer.

If you have an existing site and you want to apply the new utility rate escalator, you will need to re-create the site:

1. Save all the existing information you have input (you can take notes or screenshots), including any utility, system design, or quote information.
2. Archive the site.
3. /wiki/spaces/SS/pages/1255120a new site and input the information you have saved.  This will replicate the previous site, but with the new utility rate applied.
